I love him very much, LaBeouf said, according to Entertainment Weekly. LaBeouf, 39, and Voight, 89, both worked on 2003's Holes and 2007's Transformers before Megalopolis, Coppola's self-financed passion project released in 2024. He was like my mentor from a young age. He was like the first real actor I ever met, and he's the first one who put me on to [Dustin] Hoffman's repertoire, LaBeouf said.
