A millennial making $368,000 secretly working 3 remote jobs says he has no loyalty to his employers: 'They can let you go at any point'
Briefly

Damien, a millennial juggling three full-time remote IT jobs, is set to earn $368,000 this year. He feels no loyalty to his employers, believing they could lay him off at any moment. This overemployment trend has allowed many to substantially increase their earnings, leading to lavish spending on travel and lifestyle upgrades. Despite the risk of burnout and potential employer repercussions, the financial rewards often outweigh these concerns, providing significant benefits like supporting family and enhancing quality of life.
Damien, whose identity was verified by Business Insider but who asked to use a pseudonym, cited fears of professional repercussions. He feels no sense of loyalty to his employers because he doesn't believe they'd protect him from a layoff.
Over the past two years, BI has interviewed more than two dozen 'overemployed' workers who've used their extra cash to travel the world, buy weight-loss drugs, and pay down debt.
Damien has also spent his earnings on furniture, restaurants, and travel. 'I was at a point where I had so much cash, I didn't even know what to do with it,' he said.
But many job jugglers have told BI the financial benefits have generally outweighed the downsides and risks.
