Those who follow me on LinkedIn may have gotten the impression that I'm against AI. Nothing is further from the truth. What I'm really against is the notion that you can't do design without AI so you either learn AI or you're doomed. Using AI is of course useful for designers. But so is knowing how to use Figma and I put both of those in the same bucket of tactical skills.

The PM used Stitch by Google to create designs after our Miro session. To the untrained eye, it looks like a finished design. But when you look closer, it's not quite right and a little bit broken in places.

A few years into the AI boom, it's clear that designers can rely on AI for some things. It can automate tedious tasks in Photoshop that once took up precious time. It can generate images on command (quality be damned!). It can schedule a meeting, respond to an email, and take notes on a Zoom call. But for all the hype, we know that AI isn't a silver bullet for the real problems creatives face.

Designers have always been problem-solvers. But until recently, we were often boxed into solving parts of problems - the visuals, the flow, the usability.

By 2035, those who can design with AI won't just support business - they'll define it. This transformation reshapes how we approach design and business strategy.
