"After Eden is about what happens once you leave paradise. There's curiosity, a little temptation and sometimes a bit of chance."

The concept is exactly what it sounds like: a crisp, buttery bureka shell gets packed with spiced tomato sauce and a soft, jammy egg, essentially folding shakshuka into a handheld pastry.

"THE BEST pierogi me and my fiancé have tried ever in NY. Me and him are both Ukrainian and have lived in Poland, and out of all the places we have tried, these taste exactly like homemade traditional Polish pierogis."

You could go anywhere in America and argue with some success for the cultural impact wrought by most of the once-subcultural stars of Lizzy Goodman's oral history of New York's post-9/11 rock scene, 'Meet Me In The Bathroom.' Or, for God's sake, Jeff Chang's history of hip-hop, 'Can't Stop Won't Stop.' But to explain this era to someone who hasn't devoted their psyche or youth to 'indie rock,' you'd need to spend a whole dinner, and maybe a few drinks afterwards, justifying why the tentpole events that 'Us v. Them' returns to multiple times in its 300-page run mean anything.

"We accept anything that could be used in some sort of creative way, so it's very open."

Bodega Nights is not a bodega or a wine bar, but a fun, sophisticated restaurant concept from the couple behind Babysips in a neighborhood that desperately needed a grown-up dinner option.
