The vehicle fled, we're reviewing all video and surveillance cameras in the area and trying to track down any vehicles that match the description. But come Saturday, they had their suspect. NBC Bay Area reports that police arrested a 17-year-old in Petaluma after executing a search warrant at the teen's Petaluma home.

The report described a clash between male juveniles that led an alleged negligent discharge of a firearm, San Jose police said in a news release Tuesday. The shooting incident occurred just before 9:40 am near the intersection of 20th Street and Sanford Avenue in San Pablo. Allegedly, a 16-year-old male suspect was seen pointing a gun and shooting at a vehicle with tinted windows.

SAN PABLO - Two people, one of them a 16-year-old high school student, were arrested Tuesday after gunfire that occurred about a block from an elementary school, police said. The teen that police arrested was a student at Richmond High, according to a statement from police spokesperson Peggy Chou. She added that the other person arrested was 22-year-old man. Officers responded about 9:40 a.m. to the area of 20th Street and Sanford Avenue, near Downer Elementary School.
