Amazon is now blocking access to apps that have been identified as providing pirated content, including those downloaded outside the tech giant's app store. "Piracy is illegal, and we've always worked to block it from our Appstore," an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement. "This builds on our ongoing efforts to support creators and protect customers, as piracy can also expose users to malware, viruses, and fraud."

BBC Sport have announced the purchase of an exclusive rights package to broadcast the competition for the next five seasons, including showing each final. The BBC's rights package will entitle them to up to seven live matches a season. The final is expected to be selected each season, as well as marquee matches involving participating English clubs. Matches available on BBC television will also be streamable on BBC iPlayer, the public broadcaster has said.
