David Mazariegos, 25, was arrested in Times Square and charged with murder, robbery and grand larceny. Mazariegos was arrested 17 times previously, including on a robbery charge, according to NewsNation local affiliate PIX11. Per WABC, Mazariegos told police he beat Tanzi and stomped on his head multiple times because he didn't like the way the victim was looking at him. The assault was reported just before midnight Sept. 29 at the Gish station at East Gish Road and North First Street, and responding deputies with the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office which polices Valley Transportation Authority transit lines found a 42-year-old man suffering from serious head injuries. Los Angeles police are searching for a man suspected of stabbing and wounding another man during a confrontation aboard a Metro bus Saturday on the city's south side. Officers responded about 4 p.m. to a report of an assault on a Line 204 bus near Vermont Avenue and 29th Street, the LAPD told KCAL-TV. They found a 50-year-old man, who hasn't been identified, suffering from apparent stab wounds that were considered non-life threatening.
