A now-removed Reddit post, from around 6 a.m. Tuesday, claimed the controversial video was playing at San Francisco International Airport. However, spokesperson Doug Yakel told SFGATE that the video is not playing at SFO and never has. "This video is not being played at SFO, consistent with our policy prohibiting any messaging of a political nature," SFO said on Threads. The Reddit post had more than 600 upvotes and almost 80 comments before moderators removed it for misinformation.
Imagine this: You've got just an hour before your flight starts boarding, you're schlepping a carry-on backpack stuffed to the brim, your passport's in one hand, the handle to a suitcase with a faulty wheel is in the other, and you're about to finally go through security-when a video of Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem whining about Democrats starts blaring. That'd be my last straw.
SAN FRANCISCO -- Several airports across the country, including the three of the biggest here in the Bay Area, say they do not plan to display a new video from Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. In the video, Noem says that TSA's "top priority" is to help make travel pleasant and efficient while keeping passengers safe. Noem blames Democrats in congress for the ongoing government shutdown and any related travel delays.

It's not a race against others as much as an internal contest with existential stakes.
