Hyundai is planning to discontinue its Ioniq 6 electric sedan from its U.S. lineup. The svelte sedan was a hit among electric vehicle enthusiasts and design aficionados, but it never sold as well as its crossover sibling, the Ioniq 5. Model year 2025 Ioniq 6 will continue to be available, but Hyundai will no longer ship the MY2026 versions to the U.S.
Rivian's battery-powered delivery van has been on sale practically unchanged since its introduction in late 2021. Except for the battery chemistry switch and electric motor upgrade in 2023, when Rivian transitioned to a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) pack and an in-house drive unit, the lovable electric van has been rolling off the assembly line in the same form for a little over four years.

That's because the e-Hijet's electric architecture has vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-home (V2H) functionality baked in. On the V2H front, the tiny EV's front-mounted CHAdeMO fast charging port can be used to keep the lights on, but additional hardware is needed. On the V2L front, however, things are much simpler. There's a 100-volt household outlet right on the center console, which can output a maximum of 1,500 watts, according to Daihatsu and Toyota.

A B-segment electric crossover, the Kia EV2 is expected to start from around $35,000 (30,000) when it goes on sale next month, making it the Korean automaker's cheapest new EV yet. Having had its beginnings in 1994, when sport utility vehicles (SUVs) were positioned as off-road vehicles, Toyota unveiled details of the outline of the new RAV4 to the world in May 2025, setting out plans to launch the model in Japan before the end of the calendar year.
Toyota is turning the Highlander - one of its most established nameplates - into an EV. The 2027 model is the SUV's first ground-up redesign in more than a decade and will be Toyota's first three-row EV for the US market. It's also the first battery-electric Toyota to be assembled in America, with production set for Kentucky using US-made batteries.
Tesla's answer to sagging sales over the last couple of years has generally been: "How about another Model Y?" It makes some sense, as the crossover is Tesla's best seller by far and the most popular electric vehicle on the planet. Last year, Tesla launched its first refresh of the Model Y in a bid to boost sales. It also rolled out a stretched-out Model YL in China.
