Two men were shot outside 1275 Herkimer St. in Ocean Hill, with a 55-year-old victim suffering a back injury and a 33-year-old shot in the leg and groin.

'This was a senseless, premediated, and brutal act of gun violence that took the life of a security guard who was simply doing his job,' stated United States Attorney Nocella.

A shooting occurred in downtown Haverhill at around 11:30 a.m., damaging property but causing no injuries. Haverhill police discovered numerous shell casings at the scene.

Authorities said the attack occurred around 9:54 p.m. at the intersection of Sackett Street and 3rd Avenue. The victim was reportedly approached by an unidentified man who began talking with him before pulling out a gun and firing, striking the victim in the right leg.
