Eleven Metropolitan Police officers are under investigation for their handling of a crash inquiry that killed two schoolgirls in Wimbledon.
Bain was cited for careless driving for the accident that occurred at about 4 a.m. local time on March 17, 2024 on I-95 northbound in Miami, according to documents obtained by The Read Optional.
Peel police reported that the two-vehicle collision involved a red Ford Explorer SUV and a Volkswagen SUV, each carrying two people. All four individuals were taken to hospital with injuries ranging from minor to serious, but none were life-threatening.
The incident, which took place on Good Friday at around 2pm on the outskirts of Killashee, resulted in a concrete post crashing through the motorist's front windscreen.
The complaints relate to concerns about the standard of the investigation, including its management and direction, the conduct of the investigation team, and their engagement with the victims.
