Colorectal cancer is preventable, and early screening significantly increases survival rates.
"For the first 38 years of my life, I was overweight - now I'm six stone (38kg) [83 pounds] lighter," Tanya Hall, a Wegovy user who can't get off the drug, told the news organization. "Therefore, there's part of me that feels like there's an addiction to keep it going because it makes me feel the way that I feel, it makes me feel in control."
Obviously, there are the expected changes - a squirming new member of the family, of course, probably accompanied by more sleepless nights and a LOT more poop. But I'm curious to know: What are the unexpected ways your life changed once you had kids? Did having a kid change your whole perspective on life? Did parenthood upend your finances in a way you didn't foresee? Or maybe you're just more tired than you ever thought humanly possible.
A change will motivate you to shift your energy in a way that brings the highest return. Feeding yourself experiences that positively impact how you live will become the building blocks for a healthy lifestyle.
If you had of told me back in the early 80s when I became a teenager that one day I could have a small box in my pocket that was not only a telephone but a compass, a torch, a camera, a recording studio, a newspaper, had maps (including satellite pictures) of the entire world and could guide me around them, I would have thought you were insane.
"I've worked with a dietician, made huge lifestyle changes, started exercising with a trainer, and yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy."
"We conducted an exposome-wide association study, which examines the relationship between a wide range of environmental exposures and health outcomes. The study found significant associations between various modifiable factors and SCA, with lifestyle changes being the most impactful in preventing cases."
