The painting in question was gifted to the Inn's late founder Helmuth Deetjen by the late, celebrated local artist George Choley. This particular Choley painting had been in the same place since the 1980s, undisturbed, and a symbol of continued historic preservation.

For Staller, foraging is a "precious" and "simple" activity that one can do to connect with nature. They can experience a sense of mindfulness from gathering together, looking for food and then cooking the bounty, she said. "We are returning to the most basic part of being a human, which is eating food and celebrating it," Staller said. "It's a lost artform."
Since the duo got together as fellow students at Goldsmiths Centre for Research Architecture in 2013, they have been using the production and consumption of food as the focus for numerous long-term, site-specific projects that address how we should live-and eat in particular-in the face of climate change.
