If you needed one more reason to brave the barricades, and the very real possibility of losing feeling in your toes: Diana Ross will ring in 2026 from the heart of the freezing temps Times Square tonight, just minutes before the ball drops. The legendary icon is set to take the Countdown Stage at 11:37pm on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest," performing a medley of her hits that includes "I'm Coming Out" and "Upside Down."

This year, the Times Square Ball will light up in red, white and blue. After it drops, it will rise again above the illuminated 2026 sign, as the first-ever release of 2,000 pounds of red, white and blue confetti falls on the Crossroads of the World. It will not fall again until July 3 in yet another celebration of patriotism and birthday excitement.

Founded by Jimmy Glenn, a former boxer turned trainer, in 1971, Jimmy's Corner has stood, defiantly unchanged, as Times Square has boomed around it. The neighborhood bar, a New York City institution which attracts locals and tourists alike, has had the same pictures on the walls for decades some of the bar's regulars have been coming almost as long kept the same furniture, and maintained remarkably low pricing.

According to police sources, the attack unfolded outside of 3 Times Square at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 1.
